Tom was elected as one of Tynemouth’s Ward Councillors in 2024.
In his day job Tom runs his own business as Director of a Traffic Data company. He’s lived in Tynemouth just off Broadway for nearly 20 years.
Tom describes himself as a “typical 90’s dad”, his kids Izzy & Sam, grew up locally and went to Kings Priory School.
Tom is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Transport consultant with decades of experience working in the built environment. He’s now putting that knowledge to use helping residents.
Tom campaigned on environmental and road safety issues for many years before becoming a Labour & Cooperative Councillor. A Labour & Co-operative councillor is a member of both the Labour Party and the Co-operative Party.
Tom joined the Co-operative Party in addition to the Labour Party after being impressed by their ideas on community energy projects which may be something we can use in North Tyneside.
