We’ve worked with John Spence Community High School to survey nearly 300 pupils on where they feel less safe crossing the road on their way to school.
Investment in new crossings is coming this year and we will continue to work with the school to push for more.
We’ve met with Jonathan Heath, the Headteacher of John Spence Community High School. We’re hugely impressed with the school leadership and have committed to work together to better manage school traffic and improve pupils experiences travelling to school.
We’ve also agreed objectives with the schools which include minimising the impact of school travel on neighbouring residents.
As schools go back this year please let us know if there are school traffic or road safety issues you’d like us to tackle.
